The new Area 51 is a beast of a machine, and it looks the part. It’s enormous, and it weighs in at a whopping 12 pounds. The body is made entirely of aluminum, and there’s a large vent on the back for cooling. The laptop is available in either anodized black or a brushed aluminum finish.
There are many of ports on the side of the machine, including four USB 3.0 ports, HDMI 2.0, mini DisplayPort, Ethernet, and an SD card reader. On the left side of the keyboard are a power button and AlienFX lighting control.
The 15.6-inch display has a resolution of 1920×1080 and a 144Hz refresh rate. It’s an IPS panel with G-Sync support to enjoy smooth gameplay without tearing it.
