ASUS TUF FX705 Performance

ASUS’s TUF FX705 is a well-rounded gaming laptop that offers good performance for the price. It has an Intel Core i7-8750H processor, 16GB of RAM, and a GTX 1060 Max-Q GPU.

The TUF FX705 could handle most games at 1080p on high or very high settings. We did notice some frame rate drops in more demanding games like Witcher 3 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, but overall the laptop performed admirably.

The GTX 1060 Max-Q GPU also allowed for some decent gaming on our 4K monitors, though you will have to lower the settings in most games to get a smooth experience. The laptop is fast and responsive for general use thanks to the powerful processor and plenty of RAM.

Battery life is where the TUF FX705 falters somewhat. Our testing lasted only about 3 hours on a single charge while doing basic tasks like web browsing and word processing. If you’re planning on gaming on this laptop, you’ll need to keep it plugged in.

The ASUS TUF FX705 is an excellent option for gamers looking for a budget-friendly laptop that can still offer good performance.

ASUS TUF FX705 Battery Life

ASUS TUF FX705 Battery Life

Asus’s TUF FX705 is a mid-range gaming laptop that promises solid gaming performance without breaking the bank. One of the areas where it cuts corners is battery life, with Asus claiming only 3 hours of use on a full charge. However, our testing found that the laptop lasted for a little over 4 hours when browsing the web and watching videos.

Of course, your mileage may vary depending on how you use the laptop. If you’re playing games or doing other resource-intensive tasks, you can expect the battery to drain much faster. But even then, we could get around 2 hours of gaming out of the laptop before it was plugged in.

Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by the battery life of the ASUSTUF FX705. It may not be the longest-lasting gaming laptop out there, but it’s certainly good enough for most people’s needs.

ASUS TUF FX705 Thermals and Noise

ASUS’ TUF FX705 has a cooling system with two fans and three heat pipes. The laptop’s internals is well-protected against overheating, but the noise level is higher than average. In our testing, the fan noise was noticeable when gaming or running intensive applications, but it wasn’t deafening.

The FX705’s CPU and GPU temperatures stayed within acceptable limits during our tests, reaching a maximum of 83 degrees Celsius and 74 degrees Celsius, respectively. The laptop’s bottom panel got pretty warm, but we didn’t experience any discomfort while using it on our lap.

Overall, the ASUS TUFFX705 does an excellent job of keeping its internals cool, even under heavy loads. However, the fan noise is something to keep in mind if you’re looking for a quiet laptop.

ASUS TUF FX705 Software and Warranty

ASUS TUF FX705 comes with a 1-year limited hardware warranty1 from the date of purchase. The warranty covers manufacturing defects and does not cover physical damage.

ASUS TUFFX705 also comes with several software pre-installed, including:

The ASUS TUF FX705 is a great value for a gaming laptop. It’s got all the features you need to enjoy your games, whether you’re a casual player or a hardcore gamer.
